Deuce · Apple Watch and iPhone · Last updated 9 September 2026
The short version. Deuce has no accounts, no ads and no analytics, and it does not track you. Your matches are stored on your own device. Two optional features send data to a server, and only at the moment you choose to use them: Share Live, and posting a result to TPE Tennis League.
Deuce is a tennis scoring app for Apple Watch and iPhone, published by VentureLK LLC. This policy explains what the app does with information. It covers the Deuce app on the App Store and this website.
Almost everything. Deuce has no sign-up and no user account, and it does not upload your matches anywhere by default.
Stored locally in the app's own storage on your Apple Watch and iPhone:
Deleting the app removes all of it. You can also clear match data at any time from Settings › Reset All Match Data, or delete everything with Delete Account & Data.
On Apple Watch, if you grant permission, Deuce runs a tennis workout while you play. That lets the match count toward your Activity rings and lets the app show your heart rate on the scoreboard.
Health data is handled entirely on your device by Apple's HealthKit. Deuce never transmits it, never stores it after the match, and never uses it for advertising or shares it with anyone. You can withdraw permission at any time in the Health app under Sharing › Apps.
Share Live lets someone else follow your match in real time. When, and only when, you tap Share Live, the app uploads the match to a hosted database so that anyone holding the six-character code can read the score as it changes.
| What is uploaded | Why |
|---|---|
| Player or team names | So a viewer sees who is playing. These are whatever you typed, which may be real names. |
| The live score and format | The point of the feature. |
| A six-character code | Identifies the session. |
| A random session identifier | Generated by the app. It is not your Apple ID, your name, your email or a device serial number. |
Please read this before you share. The code is the only protection on a shared match. Anyone who has it, or who guesses it, can view that scoreboard, and can also change or clear it. Do not put anything you would not want a stranger to read into a player name on a match you intend to share.
Shared sessions expire automatically about six hours after they are last updated, and you can end one at any time from the match. The database is operated for us by Supabase. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or attempt to identify you from it.
If you play in TPE Tennis League, the iPhone app can post a finished match to the league ladder. This happens only when you tap to post it.
tpetennis.pgintel.dev, which is also operated by VentureLK LLC.What the league then does with a posted result, including showing your first name and record on its public ladder, is described in the league's own privacy policy at tpetennis.pgintel.dev/league/privacy. If you never use this feature, nothing is ever sent there.
Deuce is rated 4+ because it contains nothing objectionable, but it is a scorekeeping tool for tennis players rather than a product directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also be described in the App Store release notes for the version that makes the change.
