Help with Deuce

Deuce is made by a small team. If something is wrong, or the app does not do a thing you need it to, write to us and a person will read it.

Common questions

The app is not on my watch.

Deuce runs independently on Apple Watch, but it still installs through the iPhone App Store app in most setups. Open the Watch app on your iPhone, scroll to Available Apps, and install Deuce. On a cellular Apple Watch with no paired phone, install it from the App Store on the watch itself.

Do I need my iPhone on court?

No. Scoring runs entirely on the watch. See this guide for what that does and does not get you.

A Share Live code is not working.

Codes are six characters and are not case sensitive. They expire roughly six hours after the match was last updated, and the person scoring can end a session at any time. If a code has expired, the scorer can start a new session and share the new code.

Heart rate is not showing.

Deuce reads heart rate through Apple Health during a match. Open the Health app on your iPhone, go to Sharing, then Apps, choose Deuce, and turn on the heart rate and workout permissions. Heart rate never leaves your device.

Can I move an event to another phone?

Yes. Open the event, tap the ⋯ menu, and choose Export backup. That writes a file you can send anywhere. On the other phone, open Events and use the import button in the top corner.

Where did my matches go?

Matches are stored on the device that scored them, and there is no account and no cloud backup. If you reinstalled the app or replaced the device without an encrypted backup, they will not come back. We are sorry, and it is the trade-off of a product that asks you for nothing.

The Chinese does not read well.

Some of the reading material was translated without a native reviewer. If a phrase is wrong or awkward, tell us what it should say and we will fix it in the next update.
